Introduction

HTP was founded in 2000 and is now one of the leading training providers in the South of England. We operate from 5 locations across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

We deliver training in all areas of Hospitality, Management, Retail, Customer Service and Business Administration. In addition to providing Apprenticeships we offer a full range of vocational programmes ranging from ½ day to 18 months in length to enable our clients to gain nationally recognised qualifications.

Mission/Vision Statement

HTP aims to raise participation and attainment through high quality training, particularly in the hospitality and service sectors, which meets the needs of learners and employers by developing innovative training solutions with its partners.

To achieve this HTP have four strategic objectives:

Extend participation in learning by young people and increase achievement
Extend adult participation in learning and increase achievement
Increase the engagement of employers in workforce development
Raise the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of learning provision

Support and Funding

As a Government Contract holder HTP is able to access funding for training through the Skills Funding Agency and Young People’s Learning Agency. We also work closely with a range of local and regional agencies to ensure our clients receive the support they require to achieve their aspirations.

Business Consultancy

HTP specialises in working with employers to assist them in the achievement of their business goals and objectives. Staff are recruited from industry and then developed as Training Consultants to ensure they have up to date sector knowledge and experience. Therefore, we are able to work with employers to assist to ensure their business goals and objectives are achieved within the training budget available.

Accreditation held by HTP

At the last Government Ofsted inspection HTP was awarded the top Outstanding Grade 1 overall and in all 9 areas of the business inspected.

HTP was the first of all the colleges and training providers in the UK to achieve full accreditation of the Government’s Training Quality Standard and currently also holds Matrix and Investors in People accreditation and are one of the very few providers in the country to hold the National Union Learning Award.
