2000
Hospitality Training Partnership (IoW) Ltd launched
In the beginning... Hospitality Training Partnership (IoW) Limited was established in 2000 by the current Managing Director, Rachael Fidler, to meet the needs of employers, employees and young people preparing to enter the world of work. The company is now one of the largest training providers in the South of England.
2003
Cove (Newsletter 05) HTP leads the drive for excellence
The Government announces that the Isle of Wight will have a Centre of Vocational Excellence in Hospitality lead by Hospitality Training Partnership to raise the standards within the Hospitality and Tourism industry on the island.
2003
Rebranded as HTP – not just hospitality training
Hospitality Training Partnership is rebranded as HTP to reflect the company's diversification into new areas of training across the retail, customer service business and administration sectors as well as continue to provide training and services for the Hospitality and Tourism industry.
2004
Mother and Child Centre opens – HTP invest in facilities to support young mums
HTP opens newly refurbished premises to provide training facilities and a crèche to give young mums or mums to be the opportunity to continue in training and gain the skills they need to move in to an Apprenticeship, further education or sustainable employment.
2005
HTP purchases Albert Cottage Hotel – further investment provides unique training facilities
HTP purchase Albert Cottage, a Grade II listed property in East Cowes. Following refurbishment it re-opens as a commercial ten bedroom hotel and fine dining restaurant whilst providing first class training and development facilities for current and aspiring hospitality workers.
2005
Head office relocates – HTP gets even bigger
HTP continues to expand and moves its Head Office to new, purpose built premises which offer state of the art training and conference facilities for learners and more space and resources for staff.
2006
HTP expands across the water - Portsmouth and Lymington centres open
HTP expands its tried and tested quality approach to work-based training into Hampshire by opening two newly refurbished Training and Development Centres in Portsmouth and Lymington.
2007
HTP Apprentice named Apprentice of the Year – HTP learners gain recognition
One of HTP's Apprentices was named as the Apprentice of the Year at the Isle of Wight Radio 'People's People Awards attended by Andrew Turner MP and Gloria Minghella MBE.
2008
HTP awarded full TQS Standard – simply the best!
HTP achieves another accolade in training by becoming the first provider in the country to receive full accreditation of the Government's Training Quality Standard launched by David Lammy MP, Minister for Skills.
2008
Little London Training Centre launch – HTP expands again
David Pugh, Leader of the IoW Council opens HTP's new, refurbished Skill Centre in Newport, Isle of Wight which will provide open first class training facilities for learners aged 14 – 19 years. Young people will have the opportunity to gain skills, knowledge and qualifications to help them achieve their aspirations and move into their career of choice.
2008
Ofsted says HTP is truly 'Outstanding'!
HTP's high levels of training and services are recognised by Ofsted, when the company is awarded Grade 1 Outstanding overall and in all nine areas of the business which were inspected.
2009
HTP awarded Beacon Status – government recognition for outstanding provision
HTP is awarded Beacon status by the Government. This accreditation is given to a small number of training providers in recognition of the excellence and innovation which exists within the Learning and Skills sector for the United Kingdom.
2010
HTP named in Ofsted Top 12 report
HTP is the only South East provider to be showcased as an example of excellent performance in the provision of work-based training in the Top 12 provider list announced by Ofsted at the Association of Learning Providers annual conference.
2011
HTP Managing Director named in 'Top 100 most influential' by People 1st
Rachael Fidler. HTP MD, is named in the People 1st Top 100 Most Influential Women list, unveiled in March 2011 at a glittering event at London's Savoy Hotel. This recognition was gained as the result of her achievements in improving the quality of work-based training.
