Isle of Wight Centre of Vocational Excellence in Hospitality and Catering Skills (CoVE)

The Isle of Wight Centre of Vocational Excellence in Hospitality and Catering Skills is the result of a unique partnership between HTP and the Isle of Wight College.

The Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) was awarded by the Learning & Skills Council on behalf of the Government in November 2003 to formally recognise the quality of training that the partnership offers in the Hospitality Industry and in fact it is the only Hospitality CoVE in Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight.

The ethos of the CoVE is to take the training students receive in the Hospitality Industry one stage further by giving them the opportunity to prepare and serve food in the "fine dining" restaurant. Island employers benefit as the skills the learners obtain at the Centre of Excellence facility, can then be implemented back in their own work environment.
