How long does an Apprenticeship take?
Apprenticeships are very flexible – you can start at any time and can proceed at your own pace, as long as you finish within an agreed timescale. An Apprenticeship will usually take between 12 and 15 months to complete. An Advanced Apprenticeship will also take between 12 and 15 months.
Am I eligible for an Apprenticeship with HTP?
There are no formal academic requirements but candidates must not be in any other full-time education; must not have completed a degree and must have been resident in the UK / EEA for the last three years.
How do NVQs relate to other qualifications?

| Level 1 | 5 GCSEs at grades D-G |
| Level 2 | 5 GCSEs at grades A-C |
| Level 3 | 2 A levels/1 vocational A level |
| Level 4/5 | HNC, HND & degree level |

How will HTP be involved?
Throughout your learning programme we aim to provide you with:
- High quality training which takes into account your individual needs, abilities, specific job skills and occupational competences.
- Training consultants, who set high professional standards, are committed to your learning and are competent and well qualified in their subject or vocational areas.
- Regular reviews of your progress and to provide you with support and feedback on your achievements a well-managed and coordinated programme that meets the expected outcomes
- Opportunities for you to feed back your own views on your learning programme.
- A safe and healthy environment which complies with the Health & Safety regulations.
What’s expected of me?
As an Apprentice with HTP, we ask you to: make a positive commitment and contribution to your own development attend your learning programmes and complete and submit work on time participate fully in sessions at which your progress is reviewed by listening to the comments of your training consultant and/or employer and by expressing your own views
How much are Apprentices paid, and who pays them?
As an Apprentice you will earn while you learn. The amount depends on your age and the programme you are on.
